Types of FRC

How do you apply for a Family Registration Certificate (FRC)?

To apply for an FRC, you have two options:

Apply In-Person:

The first option to obtain an FRC in Pakistan is to visit your nearest NRC.

Take care of the following points:

  • It would be best if you were accompanied by other family members below 18.
  • Before the final issuance of an FRC, you must proofread spellings and other particulars mentioned on the family tree.

Visit any nearest NADRA Registration Center (NRC)

By Birth

To get the FRC by birth, here are the steps you are to follow:

  • NADRA Staff will get Photographs of minors

By Marriage

Below are the steps you are to follow to get the marriage registration certificate in Pakistan. It is FRC with spouse and childer:

  • If a child is under 18, you must bring all the children for adding to the FRC.

By Adoption

To obtain an FRC in the case of the adopted child (guardian registration certificate), one thing to keep in mind the presence of a child is necessary:

  • NADRA Staff will get Photographs of minors
  • the NADRA representative takes a photograph of the adopted child. (As per adoption rules, the adopted child must be below 21 years of age)
  • In the Nadra system, concerned staff enter data and review by yourself
  • A print of your FRC is to be handed over to you

  1. Go to this website: https://id.nadra.gov.pk
  2. If you have an account, log in. If not, create a new account.
  3. Log in. Once your account is set up.
  4. Click on ‘New Application’
  5. Choose “Issuance of Family Registration Certificate” from the list of products.
  6. Select “Family Registration Certificate”
  7. Click “Start Application”
  8. Enter your CNIC (Citizen Number) in the provided field.
  9. Choose the Type of Certificate you need: FRC with spouse and children or FRC with parents and siblings.
  10. Click the arrow to proceed.
  11. Upload a photo of yourself.
  12. Enter the ID card No of all your family members and specify their relationship to you, one by one, under “Member Citizen Number” and “Relation with Applicant.”
  13. Add all family members.
  14. Click “Verify my Family” to let the system check your family tree.
  15. A success message shows the system finds any errors during verification.
