What is a Child Registration Certificate (CRC/B-Form)?

A CRC is issued upon providing documented proof of childbirth from the union council. Every child under 18 has the right to apply for and receive a registration certificate (CRC certificate Nadra) from their place of origin.

To obtain a Computerized Registration Certificate (CRC) for your child, provide documented proof of childbirth from the union council and ensure you hold a valid National Identity Card (NIC) or National Identity Card for Overseas Pakistanis (NICOP).

Next, visit any NADRA Registration Center (NRC) to submit your application. This crucial step secures your child’s identity, establishes citizenship, and simplifies future documentation processes.

A confusion I clear here is that most people ask: Is the birth certificate and b form the same?

The simple answer is “No”.

Here is the difference between the Birth Certificate and the B-Form.

The union council issues a birth certificate, while Nadra issues a B Form. A B Form has the National Identity Number for children under 18 who are not eligible for a CNIC.

Pakistan’s government created the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) on March 10, 2000, by combining the Registration Directorate and the National Database Organization, which originated in 1973.

To get a CRC, show the papers from the union council that prove the baby was born.

In Pakistan, One of the parents should have the National Identity Card (NIC) to be eligible to apply.

Overseas Pakistanis holding a NICOP can apply for a B Form (aka Bay Form).

Go to any NADRA Registration Center (NRC) to apply for CRC.

Who can apply for the CRC (Nadra B-Form)?

You can apply for CRC (B Form) if:
